Paralegal For Family Immigration

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented bi-lingual Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law office operations in the Family Immigration field, including immigration and possess excellent organizational skills. This role is crucial in supporting attorneys with family immigration and deportation cases, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and filed in a timely manner. The Immigration Paralegal will work closely with clients and assist in navigating the complexities of immigration law.

Duties

• Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documents.
• Conduct legal research using resources using tools such as Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents, including contracts and correspondence related to immigration matters.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
• Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing attorney calendars.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case status.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
• Stay informed about changes in family immigration laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance.

Experience

• 2-3 years of proven experience as a Paralegal or in a family immigration law office setting is required.
• Strong skills in legal drafting and document management are essential. Experience in deportation protections is a key role in this position.
• Proficiency in using legal data base platforms is highly desirable, "MyCase" is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both english and spanish) are required.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorization to work in the US for any employer is required. We do not offer sponsorship at this time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
