About the Job:
The Paralegal, Healthcare Licensing and Enrollment will lead and coordinate healthcare facility licensure and renewal efforts, changes of information, and enrollment applications with state licensure agencies and government payor programs for Summit BHC (together with its affiliates and operating facilities, the “Company”).Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitor, track and manage all aspects of state and local licensure applications, permits and renewals for the Company.
Manage enrollment and renewal applications for the Company’s participation in federal and state government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.
Maintain detailed, centralized records for all licenses, permits and enrollment applications; and compile and monitor relevant information to ensure proactive steps are taken for timely renewals.
Ensure that a consistent approach is followed with licensure, permitting and enrollment matters; and develop and implement industry-leading best practices to build relevant departmental capabilities, processes and functions.
Coordinate with numerous stakeholders, including corporate and facility leadership, legal team, and as necessary outside counsel on licensing, enrollment and other related legal or business matters.
Supervise vendors who provide services related to licensing, enrollment, or revenue cycle management functions.
Serve as a member of a high performing team; build and maintain exceptional employee morale and motivation; and foster an exceptional culture and workplace.
Through leadership and actions, demonstrate a commitment to continual improvement, improved efficiency and enhanced effectiveness.
Produces, coordinates and provides relevant education and training.
Actively contributes to the legal team and the organization generally through development and implementation of industry-leading best practices to build departmental capabilities, processes and functions.
Education/Experience/Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) and/or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare facility licensure and enrollment in a law firm or in-house law department setting, or comparable government organization.
