Paralegal - Immigration Deportation Defense and admin

*Job Summary*

Legal Defense USA, is currently seeking a dedicated Immigration Paralegal to join our team. As an Immigration Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal team in handling immigration cases and providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment with growth potential. Must have experience in deportation defense.

*MUST BE AT LEAST BILINGUAL- ENGLISH AND SPANISH*

*Duties*

- Conduct legal research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures

- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications

- Draft legal documents such as affidavits, briefs, and appeals

- Interview clients to gather necessary information for cases

- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and compliance

- Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other parties involved in immigration cases

- Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date

- Stay current on changes in immigration laws and policies

- Provide general administrative support to the legal team

*Experience*

- Previous experience working as an Immigration Paralegal or similar role preferred

- Proficiency in conducting legal research and drafting legal documents

- Knowledge of immigration law and procedures

- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills

- Ability to interview clients effectively and maintain confidentiality

- Familiarity with phone etiquette in a professional setting

- Experience with tribal law regulations or workers compensation law is a plus

- Legal drafting skills and knowledge of patent law are advantageous
