Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Intern to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case preparation across various practice areas
- Conduct document review and manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw
- Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and client meetings through organization and logistical coordination
- Maintain accurate data entry and filing of case documents while ensuring compliance with firm policies
- Support project management initiatives by tracking deadlines, scheduling meetings, and organizing legal files
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phones with professional etiquette, managing calendars, and supporting overall office operations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of various legal practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation procedures
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with iManage and PCLaw is a plus
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents; strong proofreading and transcription abilities are essential
- Effective organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with document review processes and case management systems for efficient workflow support
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing large volumes of information
- Strong clerical experience including filing, document management system use, phone etiquette, and administrative support tasks
- Project management skills to coordinate tasks efficiently within deadlines; experience supporting litigation or regulatory projects is advantageous
- Exceptional research skills combined with the ability to analyze complex legal issues across diverse practice areas
