Overview
Small litigation and general practice law office is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented legal secretary or paralegal to oversee the administrative operations of the office. The ideal candidate will manage clerical tasks, be proficient with the latest technology for efficient office management, along with proficiency in Word and Microsoft Office. This position is for the person who does not need constant supervision, is motivated to learn and assist, multi-tasked, and who will be working alongside the lawyer on specific cases.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations.
  • Manage clerical duties including data entry, document management, word processing, legal research, billing, assistance on cases.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of legal documents related to personal injury and insurance contract law.
  • Utilize LexisNexis for legal research and information retrieval.
  • online or in-person investigative tasks.
  • Maintain organized filing systems.
  • scheduling meetings and managing correspondence with clients

Skills

  • Proficiency in clerical and administrative tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of personal injury law is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with document management systems and data entry processes.
  • Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research purposes, is helpful.
  • Strong skills in Word, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and witnesses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
