We value a collaborative, innovative, and an inclusive culture. We are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a setting that demands accuracy, efficiency, and strong communication skills.

The Litigation Paralegal position supports attorneys in our business litigation practice. This position involves working under the direction of attorneys, with limited supervision, to assist in all aspects of litigation. It requires strong communication skills (both in person and in writing) and the ability to learn and use various software and technology platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for those who excel at managing multiple projects, show careful attention to detail, deliver timely and trustworthy work product, and enjoy working in a collaborative, professional environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Filing documents in state and federal court.
  • Managing case dockets and calendar deadlines.
  • Maintaining and organizing case and client files.
  • Assisting with deposition preparation, scheduling, and logistics.
  • Preparing litigation filings, including motions, affidavits, and declarations.
  • Preparing discovery requests, responses, and assisting with document intake and review.
  • Coordinate with outside consultants and experts.
  • Communicating with clients and other counsel professionally and effectively.
  • Support attorneys with trial and arbitration preparation and logistics.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of recent litigation experience.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Experience with or willingness and ability to learn electronic discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity).
  • Excellent proofreading skills.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive work style with the ability to take ownership of assignments.
  • Desire to be a valued member of a growing litigation team.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree minimum or equivalent related work experience.
  • ABA-approved Paralegal course of study or North Carolina State Paralegal Certification.
