We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Paralegal with 3 to 5 years of experience in personal injury law to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing case files and evidence
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and correspondence
- Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information for personal injury claims
- Review medical records, insurance policies, and other relevant documentation for case development
- Maintain detailed case logs, calendars, and deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of paralegal experience specializing in personal injury law or related litigation fields
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes including document review, filing procedures, and case management systems
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis
- Experience with litigation support tools like PCLaw and iManage is highly desirable
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents and correspondence
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Exceptional interviewing skills coupled with professional phone etiquette
- Familiarity with other practice areas such as Workers’ Compensation Law, Landlord-Tenant Law, Family Law, or Tribal Law is a plus but not required
- Strong attention to detail in proofreading and transcription tasks
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
