Paralegal - Probate & Estate Planning Focus

Job Overview
We are a 4-attorney transactional law firm focused on estate planning, probate and trust administration, guardianship, corporate law, and real estate and contracts law.

As a key team member, you will support attorneys in providing comprehensive legal services to clients dealing with estate planning, probate matters, trust administration, and general administrative duties

Your ability to work with our team to organize estate planning documents, manage probate documentation, trust administration and guardianship law documents, prepare for estate plan signings, draft letters from attorney directions, handle client correspondence, and assist with in-person signings and requests will be essential in ensuring smooth case progression.

With exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, you will help clients protect their legacies while contributing to a professional and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and refine estate planning documents, probate pleadings, and trust and guardianship accountings.
  • Assist with preparing for estate plan signings and ensure all documents are accurate and complete.
  • Draft letters and client correspondence based on attorney direction.
  • Transcribe legal documents, maintain accurate case records, and ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Communicate with clients and professional partners, gathering information and providing updates with tact and confidentiality.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, attorneys, and professional partners.
  • Support team members on collaborative projects to maintain a productive and positive workplace.
  • Manage document and file organization, including scanning and maintaining records.

Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an estate planning or probate paralegal.
  • Excellent drafting and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document compilation tools like Adobe.
  • Expertise in working with Document Management Systems and legal software, such as Clio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality while using sound judgment in sensitive situations.
  • A team player with a commitment to delivering excellence in legal support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
