About the Role

We are looking for a litigation paralegal to work in our Chico or our Long Beach office or remotely.

We are looking for a self-motivated, organized individual with strong communication skills, a strong self-motivation, ability to autonomously manage their caseload, and a drive to deliver consistently high-quality work product and client experience. We take pride in keeping caseloads reasonable, in having a low attorney to assistant ratio, and in utilizing technology to create a flexible and efficient work environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has at least 1 year of workers' compensation defense experience.
• Can work with minimal supervision in managing a caseload.
• Drafting and writing skills to assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as reports, briefs, and motions.
• Reviewing and summarizing documentation, including medical records reviews, transcripts, and employment records.
• Conduct legal research on various topics as required.
• Maintains superior client service, including responsiveness and prompt communications and delivering excellent work product

Candidates who do not have the demonstrated work experience will be considered if they can demonstrate they are otherwise exceptionally qualified to undertake the tasks required by this role.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures, particularly workers' compensation law.
• Excellent writing skills, including proficiency in drafting advocacy work product, client reporting, and case correspondence.
• Familiarity with legal and administrative tasks and procedures.
• Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
