LS Carlson Law is a law firm serving clients nationwide from our southern California headquarters to our satellite office in Florida and we are looking for an exceptional Paralegal/Administrative Assistant to add to our growing Florida team asap!

We represent clients in both prelitigation and litigation contexts in real estate and business disputes, such as Partnership; Breach of Contract; Breach of Fiduciary; Fraud; Misrepresentation; HOA; Property Line; Probate; and Failure to Disclosure matters.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of prior paralegal experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced law firm environment.
  • Highly organized, pays close attention to detail, efficient, excellent written and verbal communication skills and can work well with team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw a plus.
  • Requires excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to answer and properly route incoming calls.
  • Maintaining calendar for trial and discovery deadlines as well as mediation.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and court personnel.
  • Proofreading documents, formatting documents, taking phone calls, drafting correspondence, and managing projects.
  • Performing initial case investigations by gathering facts and records, drafting pleadings/discovery (e.g., interrogatories, request for production).
  • Prepares and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other mailing information.
  • Identifying and contacting experts, preparing hearing and trial notebooks and assists in trial.
  • Must be familiar and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries and know state court rules.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
