Overview
Seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal/Case Manager to join my legal team. This role offers an opportunity to support a legal practice focused on Plaintiff's civil litigation, primarily personal injury caused by defective medical devices and consumer products. You will assist me, the only attorney. This is not a position for one inexperienced in this field. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help ensure efficient case progression and client service.
Duties
- Manage and organize legal case files using my internal document management systems.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail, file pleadings, and serve discovery responses.
- Interact with clients on existing matters via phone relevant information and respond to discovery requests.
- Tracking and calendaring of deadlines, court filings, and document submissions to ensure timely compliance.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling, and handling correspondence efficiently
Experience
- Paralegal experience in a busy law office environment with experience in civil litigation in state and federal courts.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading expertise is highly valued
- Skilled in conducting interviews with clients or witnesses to gather pertinent information effectively
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing systems (both physical and electronic), phone etiquette, and organizational skills that support smooth office operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.36 - $29.33 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
