Paralegal/Case Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Manager to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing support to clients, and ensuring that all legal processes are followed efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of personal injury law, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a variety of legal cases, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines.
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather necessary information and assess their needs.
  • Perform legal research using tools such as Bloomberg Law to support case preparation.
  • Draft legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Review documents for completeness and relevance, maintaining organized files within document management systems.
  • Collaborate with attorneys on case strategy and provide executive administrative support as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding case status and next steps.
  • Utilize project management skills to coordinate tasks and manage timelines effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation for litigation by organizing evidence and preparing exhibits.

Skills

  • Proficient in personal injury, environmental law, mass torts, mass arbitration, and litigation processes.
  • Experience with document management systems, and legal case management software.
  • Strong interviewing skills combined with excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents.
  • Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis effectively.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry, clerical tasks, filing, and proofreading documents.
  • Familiarity with transcription processes and phone etiquette in a professional setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
