Paralegal/Case Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal/Case Manager to join our dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a wide range of legal practices, including personal injury, lemon law, and business law.

Duties

  • Assist with case management across various legal areas by organizing and maintaining case files.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis.
  • Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Manage document review processes and ensure all files are accurately indexed and stored in compliance with firm policies.
  • Support litigation activities through data entry, filing court documents, and coordinating discovery efforts.
  • Conduct client interviews and gather pertinent information while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, handling phone etiquette professionally, and performing data entry tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience in legal research, document review, and case management for pre-litigation and litigation cases.
  • Familiarity with legal software including LexisNexis, Clio or similar case management systems, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail.
  • Experience in legal administrative functions such as filing (physical and electronic), proofreading documents, transcription, and maintaining meticulous records.
  • Research skills utilizing online legal databases like LexisNexis to gather relevant case law or regulatory information.
  • Effective interviewing techniques to assist attorneys in client intake processes while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
