Paralegal/Case Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal/Case Manager to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing a diverse portfolio of legal cases across multiple practice areas, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, and personal injury law. Your expertise will support attorneys by conducting comprehensive legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and ensuring seamless case progression. Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case development across various practice areas.
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
  • Manage case files using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw, ensuring all records are accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
  • Conduct client interviews and gather pertinent information to facilitate case assessments and strategy planning.
  • Support litigation processes through document review, data entry, filing, and maintaining litigation calendars.
  • Coordinate with clients, courts, and external agencies via professional phone etiquette to ensure timely communication and follow-up.
  • Perform administrative duties including proofreading, transcription of legal notes, managing deadlines, and supporting executive administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven paralegal experience with a strong understanding of legal administrative processes across multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, or personal injury law.
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms including LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with iManage or similar document management systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with case management software such as PCLaw; ability to handle data entry accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading and transcription abilities are essential.
  • Effective interviewing skills to gather comprehensive client information; professional phone etiquette is required for client interactions.
  • Knowledge of UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) law, landlord-tenant law, tribal regulations or patent law is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to perform thorough legal research across diverse practice areas; familiarity with litigation procedures is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Administrative experience supporting attorneys or legal teams; clerical experience including filing and document review is preferred. Pay: $25.11 - $30.24 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
