Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of both chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy matters. This role requires strong clerical skills, effective phone etiquette, and the ability to manage legal cases efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Manage legal case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Maintain organized records of case files, including electronic filing systems.
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a paralegal or in a legal administrative role is preferred.
- Knowledge of both chapter 7 and chapter 13 is preferred
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail in filing and documentation processes.
- Proficient in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify errors in documents.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
