This is a Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM, In-Office Position. Opportunities to work remotely are not available at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Screen potential clients to ensure their legal needs and circumstances are a good fit for the firm while ensuring the client feels heard and understood
- Aid attorneys with drafting court documents, filing and service of process
- Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, independently obtain and organize case files)
- Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
- Work as part of a team
- Maintain routine communications with clients and attorneys about case status and preparation
Qualifications:
- A paralegal with at least 2 years of legal experience, experience in family law is preferred
- Ability to be flexible, handle pressure, and adapt to changing work priorities, workflow, and work assignments
- You are personable and professional, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Extremely organized, know how to prioritize tasks, not only for themselves but as a close teammate with the attorney(s) they support
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with exceptional attention to detail
- You possess common sense and problem-solving skills
- Responsive and adaptable to fast-paced work environment
- College Degree
