Position Overview for the Paramedic | ER Technician

We are seeking an experienced Paramedic (EMT-P) to join our Emergency Department team. This is not a traditional EMT role. This position requires strong ER-based clinical experience, independent critical thinking, and the ability to function effectively in a high-acuity freestanding ER setting. We are currently seeking candidates to work night-shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Candidates without recent Emergency Room experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities for the Paramedic | ER Technician
Initiate IV access, perform phlebotomy, and complete EKGs
Execute physician orders accurately and efficiently
Monitor patient condition and respond to emergent situations
Support patient throughput while maintaining quality of care
Collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, and the care team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Deliver a high-touch, hospitality-driven patient experience
Minimum Qualifications for the Paramedic | ER Technician (Required)
Active EMT-P (Paramedic) certification required
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience required
Strong clinical skills including IV starts, EKGs, and patient monitoring
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications for the Paramedic | ER Technician
Experience in a freestanding ER (FSER) or high-volume emergency department
Familiarity with EMR systems and emergency workflows
Strong patient service mindset and ability to de-escalate stressful situations
