We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Load and unload items, often involving heavy lifting, with proper handling techniques to prevent damage or injury.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered during routes.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete all necessary documentation.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met.
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including warehouse safety procedures when loading or unloading goods.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry).
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Experience in warehouse environments is advantageous, especially involving heavy lifting tasks.
• Strong organisational skills to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently.
• Good communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
