Job Summary:

The Parotta/Roti Maker is responsible for preparing and cooking different types of flatbreads such as parotta, chapati, naan, and roti according to established recipes and quality standards. This role requires expertise in dough preparation, rolling, and cooking techniques, while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and efficiency in a high-demand kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dough for parotta, roti, chapati, naan, and other flatbreads as per recipes.
  • Roll, stretch, and cook flatbreads on tawa, griddle, or oven ensuring proper texture and taste.
  • Maintain consistency in size, softness, and quality of all breads prepared.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
  • Monitor stock of flour and ingredients; report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and utensils.
  • Work efficiently to meet customer orders during peak hours.
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff for smooth kitchen operations.
  • Follow portion control and minimize wastage.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Parotta/Roti Maker
