Part-time 1099 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients across various age groups, including Adolescents age 15+. Your expertise in psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, and medication management will be essential in promoting the mental well-being of our patients. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outpatient care.

Duties

• Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients with mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
• Provide supportive psychotherapy and medication management to patients, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care providers and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize Simple Practice for patient documentation and management of electronic health records.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
• Cover administrative duties for the Chief Executive Officer when out of the office (patient messages, urgent visits and scheduling requests.)

Qualifications

• Current certification/License as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in at least 1 of the operating states (multi-state licensure preferred). We operate in Kansas, Colorado, Ohio, New Mexico, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming and New York.
• Experience in outpatient settings is preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
• Strong background in diagnostic evaluation, including the ability to assess complex psychiatric conditions.
• Understanding of complex needs for those with PTSD and LGBTQIA+ concerns.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
