Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, eager-to-learn Part-Time Accounting Intern or Junior Accountant to join our team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a current accounting student or recent graduate to gain real-world experience during tax season and beyond. You will assist with daily support of our bookkeeping and tax preparation support, working directly under the guidance of our senior accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Assist with recording daily financial transactions, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations using accounting software.
- Tax Preparation Support: Help organize, scan, and input client financial data into tax software for individual and corporate returns.
- Document Management: Maintain organized digital and physical client files, ensuring strict confidentiality of all financial data using our secure online file cabinet.
- Administrative Support: Assist with client communication, scheduling, and other general office tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables are a plus). Familiarity with QuickBooks (desktop & online), professional tax software Prosystems fx & TaxDome is highly desirable but not required.
