Location: San Diego, CA (On site)
Schedule: Approximately 24 hours per week
Compensation: $24 to $26 per hour, depending on experience
About the Role
SportRx is seeking a detail oriented Part Time Accounts Payable Specialist to support our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and maintaining organized accounts payable operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and contributing to a collaborative, value driven team. There is potential for this role to grow into additional responsibilities within accounting or payroll over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter vendor invoices into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify invoice details and match invoices with purchase orders and approvals
- Prepare payment batches and assist with processing vendor payments
- Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation
- Respond to vendor inquiries and assist with resolving invoice discrepancies
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items
- Monitor accounts payable aging to ensure timely payments
- Assist with month end activities including accruals and reporting
- Support the accounting team with documentation and record keeping
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency within accounts payable
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Schedule
This is an in person, part time role (approximately 24 hours per week) with some flexibility in scheduling.
