Orange MD is an established and rapidly growing Direct Primary Care practice seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner interested in practicing high-quality, relationship-based medicine. We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and well-trained provider who is excited about growing alongside our clinic as we continue to expand.

This practice offers a low-volume, high-quality membership-based medicine setting. The successful candidate will work alongside one family physician, one Nurse Practitioner, and two registered nurses in a collaborative and supportive environment.

This role will initially focus primarily on telehealth care while patient demand and clinic volume continue to grow. We are seeking someone interested in building long-term relationships with our team and patients, with the opportunity to gradually transition into additional in-clinic responsibilities as the practice continues to expand.

Position Specific Duties:

  • Provide telehealth care approximately 8–10 hours per week
  • Participate in shared on-call coverage approximately 14 days per month (call volume is very light)
  • Typically receive 2–5 phone calls per month while on call
  • Expected to have a strong foundation in men’s health, women’s health, pediatric care, and urgent care
  • Perform patient assessments to obtain complete and accurate clinical histories and evaluations
  • Order appropriate tests and diagnostic studies as needed
  • Diagnose patient conditions and develop individualized plans of care
  • Interpret laboratory and diagnostic results to guide patient treatment
  • Provide comprehensive patient treatment, including appropriate prescribing practices
  • Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to ensure effective, timely, and cost-conscious care
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within Scope of Practice
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and preventive care
  • Stay current on healthcare trends and continuing medical education
  • Coordinate patient care through telehealth services
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers involved in patient care
  • Communicate clinical information accurately and professionallyately to the care team
  • Share clinical expertise and collaborate with fellow providers as needed
  • This position will initially focus on telehealth services, with the expectation of gradually incorporating limited in-person clinic hours as patient demand and clinic growth continue to expand.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Eligible for State Controlled Substance License II–V
  • Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate II–V
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Additional certifications as required (ACLS, PALS, etc.)
