Part-Time After-School Math & English Tutor / Teacher (Elementary & Middle School)

Eye Level Learning Center – Ashburn, VA (Ashburn-North)

$22–$28 per hour (based on experience & credentials)
Part-Time | Minimum 3 consistent days per week required
Saturday mornings required + at least 2 weekday afternoons (Monday–Thursday)
Small-group instruction (3–5 students per class)

Eye Level Learning Center is hiring a high-performing Math & English Tutor / Teacher to deliver structured, mastery-based instruction in a professional after-school academic setting.

This role is ideal for certified teachers, experienced tutors, education majors, or academically strong professionals seeking consistent, meaningful part-time teaching work with clear expectations and high standards.

Schedule Requirements

• Saturday mornings required
• Must be available at least 2 weekday afternoons/evenings (Monday–Thursday)
• Minimum 3 total consistent days per week (including Saturday)
• Predictable weekly schedule

About the Role

As an After-School Math and English Instructor, you will:

• Provide structured Math and/or English instruction (PreK–8th grade)
• Lead small groups of 3–5 students
• Follow a proven curriculum with clear progression pathways
• Identify learning gaps and adjust pacing within the curriculum framework
• Track and document student progress accurately
• Communicate professionally and confidently with parents
• Maintain a focused, organized, and encouraging classroom environment

This is not a homework-help or casual tutoring position. We maintain high academic expectations and expect instructors to take ownership of student progress and classroom standards.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Math and/or English (reading, writing, grammar)

Preferred:

• Teaching certification (current or former)
• Degree in Education, Math, English, or related field
• Experience in tutoring centers or academic enrichment programs
