Part-time After School Nanny

Part-Time Nanny Needed in Chapel Hill, NC | $25-$28/Hour

Start Date: August 2026

Location: Chapel Hill, NC

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM

Pay: $25-$28 per hour

Nanny By Design is assisting a wonderful family in Chapel Hill in their search for a long-term, part-time nanny to care for their 11-year-old son.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum and enjoy helping children build confidence, independence, and life skills.

Their son is incredibly sweet, active, and loves swimming, Pilates, skateboarding, fitness classes, and learning fun facts—especially anything related to calendars and dates! While he is a little behind academically and attends tutoring, the family is looking for a nanny who will encourage him, foster independence, and gently help him step outside of his comfort zone.

The family values routine, consistency, and teaching appropriate social skills and behaviors. They are looking for a dependable nanny who will become an important part of their child's growth and daily routine.

Responsibilities:

• Transportation to and from activities
• Preparing meals and snacks
• Family meal preparation (preferred but not required)
• Laundry
• Loading and unloading the dishwasher
• Packing and unpacking lunchbox and backpack
• General tidying related to the child and daily activities
• Encouraging independence and supporting social and emotional development

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Minimum of 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is required
• Ability to provide 3 childcare-related references
• Adult & Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before the start date)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check
• Minimum one-year commitment preferred
