Part-Time Afternoon Infant Teacher (Entry-Level – High Standards, Professional Environment)

We are seeking a dependable, professional, and accountable Part-Time Afternoon Infant Teacher to join our team. This is an entry-level position, but it is not a casual job. Caring for infants requires consistency, maturity, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Position Details

• Schedule: Approximately 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM (consistent afternoon availability required)
• Age Group: Infants (6 weeks – 15 months)
• Reports To: Director/Supervisor

Core Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, responsive, and developmentally appropriate care to infants
• Follow classroom routines and state licensing regulations without exception
• Maintain accurate feeding, diapering, and incident documentation
• Actively engage with infants (no sitting on phones or passive supervision)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment at all times
• Communicate professionally with families and team members
• Accept feedback and implement changes immediately and consistently

Expectations

We operate as a professional early childhood program — not babysitting. That means:

• Punctuality is mandatory. Late arrivals impact ratio and safety.
• Reliability is non-negotiable. Infants need consistency.
• Accountability matters. Mistakes are addressed and corrected.
• Teamwork is required. We support one another and step in when needed.
• Initiative is valued. If something needs to be done, you do it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be EEC certified in I/T.
• Must be able to lift infants and move safely throughout the classroom
• Must be able to sit on the floor for extended periods of time
• Prior experience is not required — but professionalism, maturity, and work ethic are
