Part time and full time HGV Class 1 drivers

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating fridge and curtainsider lorries to deliver goods across various locations. Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGV Class 1 and 18T for the delivery of goods to multiple destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with legal driving hours.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition before and after each journey.
• Secure cargo appropriately on the trailer to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or issues encountered.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly to ensure ongoing safety and compliance.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with fridges and curtainsiders or specialised vehicle operation.
• Demonstrable driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in delivery driving is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of logistics and route planning.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to commercial transportation.
• Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or similar large vehicles.

Pay: £14.77-£15.80 per hour
