Part Time Art Studio Assistant/Event Host

We are accepting applications for a part-time Art Studio Assistant position and Event Hosts. We are an art studio for all ages and abilities providing a friendly work environment that promotes teamwork and creativity. We offer a variety of mediums including clay, glass, mosaics, pottery, and canvas. Candidate must be willing to work at any Art Dept. location (Newtown and Doylestown). Weekend and Evening hours, occasional weekday help. Only candidates that submit a resume for review will be considered. Must be 18 years old or older and have a driver's license and reliable transportation. Local candidates only please.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with walk-in customers, parties, camps and special events
• Answering phones
• General studio maintenance
• Assisting with Kiln room duties
• Running parties/events/camp as needed

Requirements:

• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to multitask and be a self-starter
• Team player
• Art student or strong interest in art

Other Requirements Preferred:

• Pottery wheel experience preferred
• Retail experience preferred
• Experience with clay and glass preferred
• Prior teaching experience (camp and classes) preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $9.00 - $12.00 per hour
