Part-Time Assistant, Physics

ABOUT

The Part-Time Laboratory Assistant, Physics is a part-time position responsible to the Chair of the Physical Science Department.

• This is a part-time position and can work up to 18 hours per week.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Setting up and taking down equipment/handouts needed for classes.
• Cleaning and storing of equipment.
• Inventorying of materials and equipment.
• Helping in the recovery of waste for disposal.
• Documenting amounts and types of waste recovered.
• Work as a team with professional and peer tutors to help and support each other.
• Attend required meetings.
• Report problems to the Department Chair.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Follow all policies and procedures established by the Center for Anatomy & Physiology Resource Room.

• Knowledge of and experience with standard laboratory equipment.
• Must be student-centered in methodology and classroom procedures and have excellent communication skills.
• Must have the ability to work well with diverse groups of individuals.
