We are a small boutique interior design firm based in Los Angeles with many current projects. We are looking to hire a part-time assistant with potential for full-time work. Our clients are primarily residential, with some commercial contracts, and approximately 50% construction and 50% furnishing.
- The assistant would work directly with the principal and studio manager primarily on administrative tasks. Schedule TBD, depending on candidate's availability and principal's and clients' needs. Tasks would include organization of time billing, receipts, paperwork, invoices, proposals, and other back office logistics to ensure smooth performance of client-facing work. Possibility to assist with design-related work, such as sourcing items for incorporation into presentations. AutoCAD delightful bonus but not required.
- Our office uses Houzz, Harvest, Canva, Gmail, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Squarespace. Familiarity with these programs is not required to apply, but helpful.
- The hours are somewhat flexible but typically should take place during the work week. While the principal and firm are based in California, the studio manager works remotely on Eastern time, so someone in the Eastern or Central time zones would also be a good fit for this role, scheduling-wise.
- Candidate MUST HAVE a positive attitude, admirable work ethic, excellent communication skills, and be punctual and professional. For the right person, after an appropriate amount of time, full-time hire may be considered.
