Part-Time Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a background in insurance defense and toxic tort litigation and be capable of providing high-quality legal services while working in our offices or remotely. This is a flexible, part-time position ideal for attorneys seeking work-life balance or supplemental income.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and legal memoranda.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance on a variety of legal issues.
• Attend court hearings as directed in St. Louis metro and Southern Illinois
• Attend depositions via phone or teleconference as necessary.
• Review, analyze, and summarize case files, evidence, and legal documentation.
• Maintain communication with other legal professionals.
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop case strategies and solutions.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership and good standing with Missouri Bar required. Other state bar admissions a plus.
• Minimum five years of experience in insurance defense or toxic tort litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with remote work and flexible schedules.
