Part-time Associate Dentist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Associate Dentist to join our dental practice. As an Associate Dentist, you will provide high-quality dental care to our patients and assist in maintaining the overall oral health of our community.

2-3 days per week in the Fairfax and Alexandria areas.

Duties:

- Perform routine dental examinations and diagnose dental conditions

- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients based on their individual needs

- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide preventive care instructions

- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software systems

- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment

- Monitor vital signs during dental procedures and respond to any emergencies or complications

- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development

Requirements:

- Valid license to practice dentistry in Virginia

- Proficiency in using dental office management software systems

- Knowledge of medical documentation systems for accurate recordkeeping

- Strong understanding of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options

- Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes is preferred

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the dental team

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

-Spanish speakers preferred
