Job Summary

Blue Ridge Babysitting Co. is seeking dependable, caring Part-Time Babysitters (“Ridge Scouts”) to provide high-quality, session-based childcare for families across our service areas. Ridge Scouts create safe, engaging, and nurturing experiences for children of varying ages while upholding the professional standards of a trusted agency.

This is a flexible, session-based position with no guaranteed hours. Shifts are offered based on family needs, and Ridge Scouts may pick and choose the sessions they accept.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision to ensure children’s safety and well-being
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning, and recreational activities
• Assist with snacks, light meals, and routine clean-up as needed
• Support nap times, diapering, toileting, and basic hygiene routines
• Follow family instructions regarding schedules, routines, dietary needs, and special care considerations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and respectful caregiving environment
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding each session
• Represent Blue Ridge Babysitting Co. with professionalism, reliability, and warmth

Experience & Qualifications

• Prior childcare experience through babysitting, nannying, daycare, teaching, or related roles preferred
• Experience with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children is beneficial
• Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple children confidently and compassionately
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training may be provided)
• Must be willing to pass a background check
• Must be willing to submit to occasional drug testing when requested or as required
• Must have a go to, jump in personality that is able to assist families proactively.
• Must be good with communication and able to follow babysitting protocols as requested.
• This is not a referral model, You will be representing blue ridge babysitting.
