Job Summary

Blue Ridge Babysitting Co. is seeking dependable, caring Part-Time Babysitters (“Ridge Scouts”) to join our growing team serving families throughout Nashville, Franklin, and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities.

Ridge Scouts provide high-quality, session-based childcare for local families needing date-night care, after-school support, and occasional childcare.

This role is flexible and session-based, allowing caregivers to pick and choose the shifts they accept based on their availability. While hours are not guaranteed, many caregivers enjoy recurring sessions and ongoing opportunities with families.

Ridge Scouts represent Blue Ridge Babysitting Co. directly as W-2 employees, providing professional childcare while maintaining the safety standards and reputation of our agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision to ensure children’s safety and well-being
• Engage children in age-appropriate play, activities, and learning experiences
• Assist with snacks, light meals, and routine clean-up
• Support nap times, diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines
• Follow family instructions regarding schedules, routines, and special care needs
• Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful caregiving environment
• Communicate professionally with parents during and after each session
• Uphold the professionalism and standards of Blue Ridge Babysitting Co.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years childcare experience preferred (babysitting, nannying, daycare, teaching, camps, etc.)
• Experience with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children is beneficial
• Experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays is a plus
• Ability to confidently manage multiple children with patience and care
• CPR & First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Must be willing to pass a background check
• Must be willing to submit to occasional drug testing if requested
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow agency childcare protocols
• Positive, proactive attitude — caregivers should be ready to jump in and assist families when needed

This position is not a referral model. Caregivers are hired as employees and represent Blue Ridge Babysitting Co. directly when working with families.
