Part-time barista

Job Summary
Seth's Coffee Grand Chute (affectionately known as the Popp Shop) is hiring! We are seeking someone with very specific availability--Mondays and Saturdays, 10-15 hours per week consistently. We will likely have an extra shift or two periodically, but we need someone to consistently work Mondays and Saturdays. For Mondays, this could be a 6am-noon, 7am-2pm, 8am-4pm, or 11am-5pm shift. Saturdays would be 6/7am-3pm. Starting pay range is $11-$12/hr, with an additional average of $4-$6+/hr in tips.
Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
• Operate POS system Square to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Engage with customers warmly, providing friendly service and answering questions about menu items
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling and food safety standards
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashing out customers and balancing registers
• Assist in food preparation and serving snacks or light food items as needed
• Uphold food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times to ensure quality and compliance

Experience

• Previous barista experience in a fast-paced café or food service environment is preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
• Proven customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation techniques in the food industry
• Experience in serving or retail environments demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills

This position could end up being full time with personnel changes later this year, but will start as part-time.
