Part-time bartender

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This role requires strong multitasking abilities and a keen attention to detail, ensuring that each drink is crafted to perfection while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Must have solid experience in costing and pricing all beverages to maximize profit and minimize waste.
• Supervise bar staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
• Possess a working knowledge of wine, and wine and food pairings.
• Manage inventory control including ordering liquor, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, bar supplies and tracking usage to minimize waste.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining a balanced cash drawer throughout shifts.
• Train new staff members on bar procedures, drink preparation, and customer service best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces regularly.
• Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food orders and ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Engage with customers to enhance their experience, providing recommendations based on preferences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender/bar manager is required.
• Strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques and cocktail recipes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Proven experience in supervising staff or managing shifts.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Familiarity with inventory control, costing processes and food management practices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer service while creating memorable experiences for guests.

Job Type: Part-time
