POSITION: PART-TIME BARTENDER

REPORTS TO: DINING ROOM MANAGER

HOURLY RATE: $22.00 + COMMISSIONS & EXTRA GRATUITY

The Denver Country Club is seeking experienced Bartenders for our Main Dining Room at the DCC with an emphasis of delivering personalized service & hospitality to our club members and their guests.

About the club:

Established in 1887, Denver Country Club is recognized as the first club west of the Mississippi and one of the most prestigious private clubs in the country. The 585 member, by invitation only private club, hosts an 18 hole golf course, two indoor golf simulators (Foresight Quads), indoor and outdoor tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, ice hockey, lawn bowling, croquet, casual and fine dining. The club has a long history of golf championships including the Denver Open (PGA Tour Event 1962-1964), Trans-Mississippi Amateur (2022) , Pacific Coast Amateur and Curtis Cup (1984). A Golf Course renovation was completed in 2020 - Gil Hanse. The renovation has helped to secure Denver Country Club as one of the premier golf courses in the Western United States. The Golf Shop is consistently recognized as an AGM Platinum Award Winning Golf Shop (Top 100) and has been recognized as a multiple winner of the Colorado Section PGA Merchandiser of the Year - Private Category.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
• Requests additional supplies as necessary and stocks the bar.
• Follows set-up procedures.
• Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
• Greets members and guests.
• Mixes, prepares, and serves drinks to members and guests and mixes and prepares drinks ordered by food servers and beverage servers according to the recipes approved by the beverage manager.
• Collects checks and membership information for drinks served.
• Reports complaints to a manager as soon as they occur.
• Maintains and cleans bar area and equipment.
• Maintains records of liquors, beers, wine to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times.
• Maintains daily inventory and records indicating drinks in the greatest demand.
• Cleans and lock ups the bar area according to prescribed procedures.
• Attends staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions as required.
• Carefully follows all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and informs manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question.
• Serves drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a beverage server.
• Continually practices beverage and revenue control procedures.
• Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
• Completes other appropriate work assignments as requested by the beverage manager.
  
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in fine dining service or banquet service
• Great upbeat attitude and a passion for service
• Must have great communication skills & follow through skills
• Work a flexible schedule
• Works less than 30 hours per week
• Works holidays and/or weekend based on demand
• Ability to work in a fast paced, yet friendly work environment
• Must work on your feet for periods of time, walking up and down stairs, reaching, use of hands and lift objects up to 30lbs.
