Part-Time Bartender for Weddings and Events

Now hiring EXPERIENCED bartenders for weddings and events at Pierpont Place, a popular downtown Salt Lake City event venue. We also provide bar services for other venues around Salt Lake City. Looking for multiple bartenders to join our team. Those who go above & beyond may be given the opportunity to grow into a Bar Manager position.

Please Note: This is a Part-Time/Gig Work job. Work hours depend on events booked at venue, and will change from one week to the next. Regular availability for Thursday through Sunday evenings is crucial, and applicants need to be comfortable with irregular schedules, as hours are based on events booked at our venue and in other locations around Salt Lake City. **The ideal applicants will have other (more regular) sources of income and would be looking at this position as an opportunity to make some extra money in a fun atmosphere!**

Applicants MUST have experience bartending, and must be able to handle a fast-paced bar atmosphere.

Pay is $10/hr minimum, plus tips and share of event fees. Depending on the event, total hourly will range from $15-35+/hour.

Requirements

• Good bartenders will be enthusiastic, personable, responsible, and able to create and serve classic and innovative drinks quickly and with a friendly demeanor to guests.
• Applicants MUST be over 21 years old
• Flexible evening and weekend availability is a necessity, as events may be booked during the day, in the evenings, and on the weekends.
• Applicants should be on-time and reliable, with their own transportation to/from downtown SLC.
• Applicants must be able to provide non-expired, up-to-date certifications to serve alcohol according to Utah State Alcohol laws and regulations. Food Handlers Permit is a bonus!

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for event guests
• Interact graciously with guests
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Plan and present bar menu
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations
• Keep a positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Pierpont Place bartenders will treat guests and other employees with respect and in a pleasant manner, take fast and appropriate action to solve problems, and handle any concerns in a professional manner in order to meet company service standards. Hygiene and safety standards are strictly regulated.
