Part-time Bartender- Holiday Inn Express/ Staybridge Suites Houston Downtown

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team at the soon to be open Holiday Inn Express/Staybridge Suites Houston downtown. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in customer service and food handling, with experience in cocktails and mixology. You will be responsible for crafting beverages, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the hotel opening team!

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during busy periods.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality while managing time effectively during peak hours.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of brewing techniques and cocktail preparation.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a restaurant or nightclub setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with Silverware POS systems is a plus.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Experience in catering or banquet service is beneficial but not required.
