Part Time Bookeeper

Part-Time Bookkeeper (Hybrid)

About Us

Our client provides customized bookkeeping services for small to mid-size businesses. They support business owners by organizing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring books are accurate so they can focus on running their business. Services include accounts payable and receivable management, expense tracking, payroll tax preparation support, and financial reporting.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to work on-site in West Hartford, CT to support ongoing bookkeeping needs for small business clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Track and classify business expenses
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Prepare financial documentation for accountants and tax filings
  • Support payroll reporting and quarterly payroll tax preparation
  • Generate reports and commission breakdowns as needed
  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks Online
  • Perform periodic bookkeeping reviews and reconciliations

Qualifications

  • 2+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with online or desktop accounting programs, Excel and Microsoft
  • Knowledge of AP/AR, general ledger, and expense tracking
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information
  • Comfortable working independently and on-site

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in West Hartford, CT 06110
