Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as Global Shop and Microsoft Suite
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial data through detailed account analysis
- Prepare and record journal entries, including debits & credits, for various financial transactions
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain the integrity of the financial records in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings to ensure compliance with governmental regulations
- Support budgeting activities by providing accurate financial data and conducting account analysis as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within corporate or non-profit settings
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting
- Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures, account reconciliation processes, and financial report writing
- Basic knowledge of payroll processing and tax experience is desirable
