Part-Time Bookkeeper

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Record journal entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and handle payroll functions
• Reconcile accounts through detailed account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within corporate or non-profit settings
• Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting concepts
• Familiarity with governmental accounting practices and tax experience is a plus
• Excellent understanding of debits & credits, journal entries, bank reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes
• Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
