Part-Time Bookkeeper & Admin Assistant (Xero) – Remote

Hours: Approx. 20 hours per week
Location: Remote (India-based)
Salary: ₹3,50,000 – ₹4,00,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are a UK-based business with interests in property and retail, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper & Admin Assistant to support our operations.

This role is primarily focused on bookkeeping using Xero, with additional property and retail administration duties.
Previous property experience is helpful but not essential — training will be provided.

This is a long-term, part-time role with consistent monthly work and the potential to increase hours as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Accounts (Primary Focus):

  • Daily bookkeeping using Xero
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate ledgers and records
  • Month-end preparation and reporting
  • Supporting UK-based accounting requirements

Property Administration (Training Provided):

  • Maintaining rent schedules and records
  • Tracking payments and arrears
  • Organising invoices and expenses
  • General property-related admin support

Retail & General Administration:

  • Processing supplier invoices
  • Basic sales and expense tracking
  • Maintaining spreadsheets and records
  • Supporting admin tasks across the business

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Xero experience (daily use)
  • Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets
  • Good written English
  • Reliable internet connection and home workspace
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines

Desirable (But Not Essential)

  • Experience with UK clients
  • Exposure to property or retail businesses
  • Remote working experience
  • Understanding of VAT (training can be provided)

Working Hours

  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule with agreed availability windows
  • Focus on deliverables rather than fixed office hours
  • Some overlap with UK working hours preferred
