Part-Time Bookkeeper- Construction Industry

Job Summary

We are a growing construction firm with a focus on teamwork and client satisfaction. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for our residential and commercial remodel projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction accounting and will play a crucial role in tracking project costs and ensuring our financial operations run smoothly. This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility of remote work but requiring at least one day per week in our office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Perform job costing by accurately tracking and allocating all costs (labor, materials, etc.) to specific projects.
• Handle subcontractor management, including processing invoices, payments, and lien waivers.
• Prepare and manage progress billing and AIA-style invoices.
• Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in the construction industry is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
• Strong understanding of job costing principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Schedule

• 10-15 hours per week.
• Flexible schedule, with a requirement of at least one day in the office per week.
