Job Overview

We’re looking for a Part-Time CAD Designer/Drafter to support our shoreline project team. This role involves creating and revising CAD drawings and assisting with the preparation of plans for permitting and construction. No prior experience in shoreline design is required — we’ll train you in plan composition and industry-specific details.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, looking for flexible work, and interested in gaining experience in a unique and growing field.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
• Assist in developing construction and permit plans for shoreline stabilization and marine structures
• Work closely with project managers and staff to meet project needs
• Maintain organized and accurate drawing files
• Learn and apply plan composition standards (we provide training)

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Willingness to learn new techniques and standards
• (Preferred but not required) Interest or experience in marine, civil, or environmental design
