PT Caregiver or PT Medication Technician

Reports to: Wellness Director

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality resident care as indicated on the care plan
• Promote residents’ independence
• Provide assistance with housekeeping and laundry
• Medication administration depending on state regulations
• Participate in community's Life Enrichment Activities, events and outings, while encouraging residents to attend
• Assists residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and within the scope of practice, policy and procedures and per state and federal regulations.
• Observe and verify medication is ingested or applied as directed.
• Maintain accurate, complete and confidential resident medication and care records according to established procedure and state law.
• Keep medicine carts and areas orderly, clean and appropriately stocked and locked. Maintain upkeep and cleanliness of medicine carts and medication rooms
• Maintain all required licenses/certifications and continuing education as required by state law, if applicable.
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Experienced Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) per state requirements
• Experience with handling medication perferred
• High School Diploma or GED or 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Medication certification may be required per state or board regulations
• The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed
• The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation
