Duties

• Safely operate various heavy-duty trucks such as roll-off trucks automatic transmissions.
• Load and unload waste containers using mechanical skills and proper lifting techniques to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Drive within designated routes to pick up and deliver waste containers to designated sites while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles before and after shifts to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Assist with the maintenance of trucks by performing basic mechanical checks and reporting any repairs needed.
• Load, secure, and unload materials ensuring proper handling of heavy loads during transportation.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes.

Experience

• Valid CDL B license with a clean driving record; experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-off trucks, or dump trucks is preferred.
• Prior experience in commercial driving or delivery roles involving heavy lifting is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge related to truck maintenance and basic repairs is a plus.
• Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and heavy equipment operation enhances your suitability for this role.
• Proven ability to load & unload materials safely using appropriate techniques; experience with flatbed or tractor-trailer operations is advantageous.
