Part-Time Center Teacher Floater (Potential to Grow too Full-Time)

Position Overview

This is a part-time Floater / Kitchen Support position with the potential to increase to full-time as enrollment grows.
You will support classrooms, meal routines, transitions, and afternoon activities , while helping keep the center running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Engage and interact with children in a warm, patient, playful way
• Support 2 classrooms (toddlers + preschool), as needed
• Assist with snack, kitchen clean-up, and end-of-day reset
• Help teachers with transitions, routines, and supervision
• Follow center safety policies and maintain a calm, supportive tone

Requirements

• Must be 18+
• Must be able to pass DCYF background check
• Comfortable assisting with diapering/potty learning
• Ability to be on the floor, move actively, and lift up to 40 lbs
• Willing to complete required training (we help you through it)
• This role will receive the same classroom training and hands-on experience as our regular teachers. You will learn our routines, guidance approach, and teaching style so that you can confidently support any classroom.

STARS/ECE experience is helpful but not required

Schedule & Pay

• M-F | 12:00 pm – 5:30 pm to start
• $22/hour
• Opportunity to expand to full-time when available

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
