Part Time Certified Phlebotomist

Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and friendly individual to join our dynamic phlebotomy team as a part time Phlebotomist. In this part-time role, the phlebotomist will be stationed at our client's location in Roseville to perform on-site blood draws and swabbing for Covid testing on Tuesday mornings and Wednesday afternoon approximately 3 to 4 hours per day. While we will strive to maintain consistent hours, the hours may vary depending on the needs of our client.

This position is a contract 1099 and offers no benefits. Payroll will be monthly on the 1st of each month. If the 1st falls on a weekend or major holiday, payroll will be processed on the next business day.

Responsibilities

  • Practice consistent punctuality as this is vital for our client's schedule.
  • Scrubs will be required for lab attire. (Red tops. Black bottoms.)
  • Proper use of PPE necessary for job performance.
  • Be presentable and conduct in a professional and approachable manner at all times.
  • Pay close attention to detail for specimen collection to minimize errors.
  • Ensure that all appropriate supplies are readily available for specimen collection.
  • Keep inventory of on-site supplies and notify KinnRidge of any supplies needed.
  • Maintain an open communication with the POC at the client's location.
  • Be observant of patient's comfort during blood draw.
  • Be ready to respond to reactions to blood draws such as fainting or vomiting.
  • Ensure proper handling of specimens post collection for proper testing.
  • Properly dispose of used supplies such as sharps, biohazardous waste, etc...

Requirements

Applicant must be or possess:

  • Proficient in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
  • Proof of eligibility to legally work in the United States.
  • A certificate as a Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited training school.
  • At least 2 years of consistent professional Phlebotomy experience.
  • Must have performed Phlebotomy tasks within the last 60 days before hire.
  • Able to provide at least 2 professional references.
  • Versed and understand HIPAA compliance and the importance of patient privacy.
  • A reliable mode of transportation.
  • Basic understanding of use of technology such as, but not limited to, email, digital calendars and texting.
  • Willing to submit to a pre-hire drug test in accordance with Minnesota Statute 181.952
  • Willing to submit to a background check in accordance with Minnesota Statute 364.021
  • Complete Phlebotomy related quiz/testing.
  • Available to start on May 5th 2026 if offered the position.

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Phlebotomy: 2 years (Required)

Language:

  • English (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (Required)
