Part-Time Child Care Assistant 2:30 to 6:30 pm

We’re currently hiring a Part-Time Floater/Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, enjoys being flexible, and wants to make a difference in the afternoon hours.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist lead teachers in classrooms ranging from toddlers to preschool
• Support afternoon routines: snack time, toileting/diapering, end-of-day cleanup, and closing procedures
• Help with supervision and engagement during indoor and outdoor activities
• Foster a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for all children
• Communicate effectively with staff and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented culture
• Step into different classrooms as needed to ensure smooth transitions and coverage

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a childcare setting preferred
• Flexible, dependable, and ready to step in wherever help is needed
• Patient, compassionate, and able to connect with children of various ages
• Physically able to bend, lift, and stay active throughout the afternoon shift
